No need to play this one up. The 2011 Bay Area Science Festival is underway, and we at the BSR blog are thrilled to be here to cover it.
The Bay Area Science Festival is a series of fun and educational science events held throughout the Bay Area between now and November 6th. All events are free and open to the public. A full calendar of events can be found here, and a selection of events run by Science@Cal (UC Berkeley’s hub for science outreach activities) can be found here.
We hope this is not the case, but if you can only make one event, make sure it’s the festival’s grand finale, Discovery Days at AT&T Park on November 6th. Discovery Days will be a one-of-a-kind extravaganza celebrating science, imagination, and our understanding of the natural world, and you don’t want to miss out on all the fun.
BSR blog writers will be on hand for many of the events, so keep an eye out over the next two weeks for our coverage of the festival. We hope to see you there!
